integrated curriculum
Early Years

Our Early Years Program is a comprehensive educational initiative comprising Nursery, K1, K2, and K3 levels. Our primary objective is to provide students with a strong foundation that prepares them for their journey into the Primary Years education. At SISC, we place a strong emphasis on nurturing children's holistic development across various developmental domains. Through our IEYC curriculum, our young learners not only acquire essential knowledge but also develop vital skills and qualities necessary for their future academic and personal growth. Our commitment to delivering quality education is evident in the expertise of our dedicated teachers. They possess a deep understanding of child development and employ innovative teaching strategies tailored to the needs of young learners. Their experience and proficiency ensure that each child receives individual attention and support, promoting optimal growth and learning.

Primary Years

National Primary Year Education of SISC is aligned with the Khmer General Education (KGE) curriculum of Ministry of Education Youth and Sport (MoEYS) of Cambodia. This program consists of 6 academic years from Grade 1 to Grade 6. After completing the primary level, students are equipped with the basic competence and knowledge of Khmer Language, Mathematics, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Information Communication Technology (ICT), all of which are fundamental subjects to prepare students for the Secondary Year Levels. Students, who are successfully completed KGE Program at SISC, are entitled to transfer to other local public and private schools without reducing credits or grade.

Secondary Years

Like the Primary Years, the Secondary Years of SISC is aligned with the Khmer General Education (KGE) curriculum of Ministry of Education Youth and Sport (MoEYS) of Cambodia. This program consists of 6 academic years from Grade 7 to Grade 12 and divided in two levels which are Lower-Secondary (Grade 7 to Grade 9) and Upper-Secondary (Grade 10 to Grade 12). In grade 11 and 12, there are two academic schemes, where the students can opt to be in social science or pure science classes based on their preferences and abilities. Grade 9 and grade 12 students are entitled to sit all National Examinations as those at public schools. The qualifications from this KGE program are recognized by MoEYS, meaning that the holders are able to apply both local and international higher education degree courses. Subject areas taught at Secondary Year Levels include Khmer Language and Literature, Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Earth Science), Social Studies (History, Geography, and Moral Civics), and Information Communication Technology (ICT)

INTERNATIONAL Programme
Early Years

Our Early Years curriculum is designed around different topics. Within these topics, the teacher teaches all the other subjects in a cross-curricular manner. Students are given time to be creative and innovative during drama and role-playing and rhythmic and music time. We also designate time for sensory and fine motor skills and for core subjects such as language arts (English), maths, art, music, library and P.E.

Primary Years

The Cambridge Primary is typically a 6-year programme for learners aged 5 to 11 years. The programme offers a series of subjects such as English as a first or second language, mathematics, science, ICT, global perspectives and arts. The curriculum is flexible and we offer subjects available in any combination.

Secondary Years

The Cambridge Secondary Years consist of Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary.

Lower Secondary (Grades 6-8) is typically for learners aged 11 to 14 years. It helps them prepare students for the next step of their education, providing a clear path as they progress through the Cambridge Pathway in an age-appropriate way.

Upper Secondary is composed of IGCSE and A-Levels (Advanced)

Cambridge IGCSE was created more than 30 years ago. Today, it’s the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year-old. Cambridge AS and A Level is typically for learners aged 16 to 19 years. Not only is it truly international – it gives students more options than any other international qualification. That means more subjects to choose from, more ways to learn and more ways to succeed.

Cambridge Advanced is typically for learners aged 16 to 19 years who need advanced study to prepare for university and higher education. It offers learners Cambridge International AS & A Level. Cambridge Advanced builds on the foundations of Cambridge Upper Secondary, although learners do not need to complete that stage before this one.
