Summary
This role is ideal for a creative individual with strong technical skills in photos, video, and graphic design, who is passionate about media, digital marketing, and content creation. We are seeking a motivated Digital Media Assistant to support the digital marketing, content creation, and media production to support marketing campaigns and target achievement. The ideal candidate will be working directly under the marketing team to develop engaging digital content and manage social media, contributing to the overall effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of video shoots and photo sessions.
  • Capture high quality video, photo and content for marketing materials, campaigns, and social media.
  • Create shot lists and assist in setting up scenes and lighting.
  • Edit and produce videos from raw footage, incorporating graphics, sound, and effects to create polished final products.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align video content with brand messaging and goals.
  • Organise and maintain the video library, ensuring all content is readily accessible.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to develop content ideas and prepare a posting schedule for social media channels.
  • Create engaging captions and descriptions for video and photographic content.
  • Assist in creating graphics and visual content for social media posts, website updates, and marketing collateral.
  • Utilise design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) to create eye-catching graphics that align with brand guidelines.
  • Support the digital marketing team in producing promotional materials, infographics, and other visual assets.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the marketing team for new campaign ideas and content strategies.
  • Assist with administrative tasks associated with content creation and project management, including scheduling meetings and coordinating timelines.
  • Maintain organised records of media assets, content schedules, and project documentation.
  • Seek opportunities for learning and development in areas such as video production, photography, graphic design, and social media marketing.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving processes related to content creation and distribution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Production, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in video editing, including Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, as well as graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, along with familiarity with photography and videography equipment.
  • Strong artistic skills and a knack for generating innovative content ideas.
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles and familiarity with social media platforms and best practices.
  • Excellent time-management and attention-to-detail abilities to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well with team members.
  • Capacity to identify challenges and develop creative solutions.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant work in video editing, graphic design, or photography is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new digital marketing trends.
  • Experience: Prior internships or work experience in digital media or content creation is a plus but not required.
