Summary
General Responsibilities:
  • Handle daily collections of tuition fees and other payments from parents/students.
  • Issue official receipts and ensure accuracy of cash, cheque, and bank transfer records.
  • Safeguard and manage daily float cash, ensuring proper authorization for all disbursements.
  • Prepare and reconcile daily cash collection reports, submitting them to the AR team/Senior Accountant.
  • Ensure timely deposit of cash and cheques to the bank.
  • Maintain accurate records of uniforms, books, and other school sales, including daily and monthly reconciliation with AR team.
  • Support inventory and stock counts for uniforms and school supplies in coordination with AR team.
  • Assist Senior Accountant in ensuring proper documentation and filing of cashier records.
  • Maintain compliance with internal control procedures for cash handling, safeguarding, and reporting.

 

Specific Responsibility:

  • Collect, count, and reconcile daily cash, cheque, and transfer receipts.
  • Prepare daily deposit slips and coordinate with bank for timely deposits.
  • Ensure all collections are properly recorded in the accounting/AR system.
  • Support preparation of monthly reconciliations of cashier accounts and stock balances.
  • Assist AR team in monitoring outstanding balances and verifying payments against student accounts.
  • Participate in monthly and semester stock counts for uniforms and school supplies.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing cashier and deposit documentation.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the AR team and Senior Accountant as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all financial data handled.
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by the Senior Accountant or Head of Finance &
    Procurement.
Required Qualifications:
  • Year 4 student or fresh graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance,
    or related field.
  • Experience in cash handling, cashiering, or accounting support role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity in handling cash and records.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to provide service to
    parents/customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, email, and accounting systems
    (QuickBooks, or ERP is a plus).
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Khmer.
