Summary
General Responsibilities:
- Process tuition fee invoices, debit notes, and credit notes in accordance with school
policies. - Record and monitor daily receipts from parents/students, ensuring accurate posting
in the AR system. - Verify that all discounts, waivers, and scholarships are properly approved and
documented. - Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue balances with
parents/customers. - Reconcile AR sub-ledger with General Ledger and prepare supporting schedules.
Support Senior Accountant in preparing AR and collection reports (daily, monthly,
and annual). - Review daily collection reports prepared by Cashier, ensuring completeness and
accuracy. - Ensure segregation of duties between AR, Cashier, and AP functions.
- Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Respond to parent/customer inquiries regarding billing, statements, and balances in
both English and Khmer.
Specific Responsibility:
- Issue payment notices, invoices, and official receipts for all school income.
- Follow up on overdue balances via calls, emails, or Telegram communication.
- Verify and submit daily cash collection reports from Cashier to Senior Accountant.
- Prepare AR-related bank reconciliations in coordination with Finance Officer.
- Support monthly AR reconciliations, schedules, and reports.
- Provide accurate student account reports to Senior Accountant and Head of
Finance & Procurement.
Other Responsibilities:
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities as assigned by the Senior
Accountant. - Ensure proper filing and documentation of AR-related transactions.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by the Senior Accountant or Head of Finance &
Procurement.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related role.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Khmer.
- Proficient in accounting systems (QuickBooks, or ERP).
- Strong numerical and calculation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, email, and Google Workspace.
