integrated curriculum
EARLY YEARS

Our Early Years Program at Southbridge International School Cambodia (SISC) is aligned with the National Early Years Curriculum (NEYC) set by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport (MoEYS) of Cambodia. This program is integrated into our EY classes from K1, K2, K3 consisting 10 lessons per week. Our primary objective is to provide students with a strong foundation in both English and Khmer language and culture that prepares them for their journey into the Primary Integrated Program.

At SISC, we place a strong emphasis on nurturing children’s holistic development across various developmental domains through our IEYC, Cambridge, and the NEYC. Our young learners not only acquire essential knowledge but also develop vital skills and qualities necessary for their future academic and personal growth through 21st century teaching methods by our well-trained teachers.

PRIMARY YEARS

The Cambridge and Cambodian National Curriculum are well aligned, leading to a stress-free learning environment through new teaching approaches and the unique curriculum – the Integrated Curriculum (IC).

Upon completing the primary level, students are equipped with foundational competencies and knowledge in Khmer Language, Khmer Social Studies, Mathematics, Sciences, Global Perspectives, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Art, PE, Music, and Chinese – key subjects that prepare them for the Secondary Year levels.

In our quest to provide a holistic education, SISC, as an international school, also offers a range of additional sports and activities such as football, swimming, table tennis, badminton, drama, poetry, and more.

SECONDARY YEARS

With the concept of a stress-free and child-friendly learning environment, the Cambridge and Cambodian National Curriculum are well aligned. The core subjects such as Math, the Sciences, and other Cambridge courses are delivered in English by well-trained Cambridge teachers with the aim of reducing the confusion and duplication, while Khmer Language, Khmer History and Khmer Moral Civics are also our focus for excellence.

The qualifications of the IC students are widely-recognized locally and internationally. After successful completion, students will gain IGCSE, AS and A level certificates as well as the High School Diploma, which is equivalent to the Bac II certificate.

As SISC’s High School Diploma is equivalent to Bac II, it is well accepted for any public and private higher education enrollment.
